Bathroom obsession

This is the room that starts our morning and ends each day. It’s where we take care of our body, a sanctuary for our personal well-being. It’s no wonder we’re obsessed with bathrooms.

From a design perspective, a bathroom is the most complex room in the house. So much happens in one space, all in a few square feet that we share with our loved ones… yikes!

We’ve all experienced bathroom envy. Our clients ask for a bathroom that captures the spa-like feeling of a luxury hotel they visited. But behind the glamor, the bathroom needs to be highly functional and serve multiple needs.

Great bathroom design starts with space planning. For most of our clients that means creating a two-person bathroom with dedicated, individual, non-shared spaces, essential for maintaining a sense of personal space. We set the scene with flattering lighting and handsome tile, and add sensory touches like warm towels and floors. Then comes the sleight of hand, like concealed medicine cabinets that hide the myriad products and a closeted potty that does it all for you.

For bathing, we love a deep soaking tub with a private window view. Separately, a spacious shower with a place to sit and good water pressure from multiple shower heads and hand showers. And there’s no curb to step over, you just glide on in and enjoy your hot shower.

Do you have bathroom envy? We’d love to help you create a personal space that inspires you every day.
